Christmas lunch – sharing memories and food

Christmas isn't just about presents and tinsel – it's also a time to gather around the table with family and good friends. Memories of childhood gatherings live on: when everyone brought what they were best at making, when the smell of freshly baked bread filled the kitchen, and when laughter was as plentiful as the cakes on the cake platter.


This Christmas lunch has been put together with those memories in mind – a tribute to traditions, to hospitality, and to community.


The lunch is for sharing, each of the cold dishes below is suitable for 2 slices and costs NOK 130 per piece, dessert 130,- and 330 per portion for the hot diches.


Drop-in Christmas lunch Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 - 15:00 during the period November 9 - December 21.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH - Cold dishes

  • Haaheim's coarse rye bread and fine rolls with butter

  • Haaheim's smoked and cured duck breast with beetroot
  • Rakfisk with egg and sour cream
  • Haaheim's smoked trout with egg and leek salad

  • Mom's tomato herring with pickled apple
  • Auntie's mustard herring with boiled eggs
  • Haaheim's roast beef with remoulade and crispy onions
  • Grandaunt's clove pork with beetroot salad
  • Lamb roll after grandma's memories with pickles
  • Haaheim's boiled beef tongue with oven-baked onions
  • Haaheim's coarse liver pâté with mushrooms and bacon


CHRISTMAS LUNCH - Hot dish

  • Glazed ribs (sticky ribs) with red cabbage and mustard sauce, sesame roasted baby potatoes
  • Christmas sausage with sauerkraut, oven-baked baby potatoes and gravy

DESSERT

No Christmas lunch is complete without something good afterwards.

  • Homemade Christmas cookies – made with love and shared with joy (4 types of Christmas cookies)
  • Rice pudding with cherry sauce – the classic ending, with a little taste of anticipation

The big Christmas lunch with the entire menu costs NOK 895 per person. (Minimum 4 people)

A light Christmas lunch with a selection costs NOK 545.

The Christmas lunch buffet is not just a meal – it is a meeting place. A place for stories, for laughter, for song and for togetherness. It reminds us that the best dishes are not only made in the kitchen, but also around the table - together.

From November 9th we will be serving a Christmas menu. You can choose between 3 or 5 courses.


Please contact us for information or check the menu calendar to see which menu is available on the date you wish to visit us.

We offer both gluten-free and lactose-free dishes. There are also vegetarian options.

Please contact us in advance so that we can arrange the best arrangements for you and your group.

Dinner must be pre-ordered.

Grave scallops

with sour cream, dill oil and small pickled onions

We serve 3, 5 and 7 course menus.

The 10-course menu must be agreed in advance.

Restaurant

The restaurant has a historic style and we set the tables with damask tablecloths and cloth napkins, and with candelabras and flowers from the garden in season. We are happy to set the tables for groups in the Malenesalongen or in the Vinkjelleren for those who wish.

Bar

We have a friendly, unsnobbish and cozy bar and reception at Haaheim. Here you can socialize or relax with a book or knitting. You can get coffee, tea, a beer or a glass of wine - and the bartender will gladly mix whatever you want.
