The garden at Haaheim

The garden at Haaheim has been a useful garden for many hundreds of years, and I still have the rhubarb that was planted around 1900. It makes May and June a tribute to the summer to come.

Then we make many things from the good strawberry rhubarb that thrives so well in the west-facing city. When I came to Haaheim in 2000, there were still many people asking for those who had collected useful and ornamental plants there for such a long time.

We took care of a lot of it and a lot of plants in the garden are obsolete with these mother plants. Ingrid, who is a gardener at Haaheim, came here in 2012, she has developed the garden into a little paradise.

There are small paths that wind between small garden houses, flower beds and garden rooms. Haaheim has a large utility garden and much of what is used in our kitchen comes from the garden or greenhouse. Haaheim does not use any pesticides and covers all soil with ground cover plants or organic material. It is not natural to leave black soil open to nature. Our nature garden, we must take care so that we increase biological diversity.
