Nordic Unrest

The program "Nordic Unrest" focuses on works by Nordic composers who try to capture elements of nature and reflect adventures and characters with origins in mythology and folklore. In addition, the program reflects an inner turmoil of the characters being described, or perhaps of the composers themselves. Edvard Grieg's cello sonata in A minor was written during a difficult time in the winter of 1882 - 1883. "I am both spiritually and physically unwell", Grieg recounted.
